Georgia Summer
Even though Georgia weather had prolonged the wintry temperatures, summer has officially arrived and we can’t help but think about vacations and extra sunshine in our days. Many of our facial cosmetic surgery patients adopt skincare regimens to protect their results, but it is important for everyone to have a routine to keep skin looking vibrant and healthy. While winter’s dry air and cold winds required us to pay a little extra attention to our skin, all of us at Pittman Plastic Surgery would like to remind patients that skincare is important year-round. We’re happy to offer quality skincare products to prepare for extra time outdoors and the warmer, humid weather.
Sun Protection
It is important to protect the skin from sun damage and sunburns. We offer medical-grade sunscreens up to SPF 50 to shield your skin without harming the skin’s surface. It is important to choose a product that contains an SPF of at least 30 and make sure it is a broad-spectrum sunscreen. Broad-Spectrum means it protects you from UVA and UVB sun rays. These products protect skin from harmful ultraviolet rays while correcting uneven skin tone. During summer, it is important to apply sunscreen every day and to frequently re-apply if you spend extra time outdoors.
Replenish Your Skin
While we all enjoy the outdoors, we all experience sunburns and age spots along with environmental changes that contribute to the appearance of aging. At Pittman Plastic Surgery, we offer moisturizers, serums, creams, and sunscreen to safely treat and protect the skin. Instead of using heavy moisturizers that are good for dry winter weather, switch to one of our lighter moisturizers or repair creams. It’s also smart to invest in a new cleanser to wash away the oil and sweat that can build during the day.
