THERMISmooth
Thermismooth Procedure
ThermiSmooth is a non-surgical procedure that uses radiofrequency energy to improve the appearance of aging skin, tighten the skin, improve wrinkles, and stimulate collagen production.
During a ThermiSmooth treatment, a small handheld device is gently applied to the treatment area in a sweeping or circular motion. This device is set to a certain heated temperature and will automatically adjust based on a patient’s unique skin. Most patients require 6 treatments, 1 to 2 weeks apart, for optimal results.
THERMISmooth Results & Recovery
Because ThermiSmooth is a non-surgical procedure, there is no downtime. Patients may experience redness and swelling after the procedure but should be able to return to work and normal activities immediately. Because skin tightening and collagen production is a gradual procedure, patients typically see some results after the first treatment with full results developing after subsequent treatments and over the next several months.
Candidates for THERMISmooth
Patients with medium to the thick skin are great patients for ThermiSmooth. ThermiSmooth treats aging skin, including wrinkles and texture issues, on the face, neck, and jaw, though results are not as dramatic as Facelift results. For deep wrinkles or aging skin, your provider can discuss the options and benefits of a surgical procedure.
RF is short for “Radio Frequency” and has been used in the medical field for years. RF has recently gained a wider appeal in aesthetics as it has been shown to assist with collagen production.
This depends on the area being treated. Larger areas require more time, while smaller areas can be completed quicker. Generally, treatments last about about 30 minutes on average.
Unfortunately we cannot stop the aging process. However, clinical research has shown that results can last up to 12 months. Results will vary from person-to-person.
